A downloadable mod

The modern Missouri River has been substantially changed from the river that Lewis and Clark traveled 200 years ago. As early as 1819 the United States government-initiated programs to determine methods for managing the river, in terms of both navigation and flood control. Those programs led to the creation of incredibly fertile soil that can produce incredibly rich yields. That being said, this map is a recreation of where I grew up as a child and where my family continues to farm. I have always wanted to design a map that took me back to my roots.  Now you have the chance to start where my ancestors started.  You have one field, and a pretty nice farmyard to get you started, along with a stable full of farm equipment to get the job done.  I hope you enjoy farming in the footsteps of my childhood.

*PLEASE READ*

Download BOTH links! I created this map in order for it to be more of a sandbox design for most players.  There are just a small handful of buildings that are embedded into the map.  EVERYTHING else is placeable. That is why a second link is accompanied with the map.  I suggest, making a separate mod folder if you don't want to replace.  I only edited 2 of the mods in that folder and have gotten permission from both authors of those.  In order to get the full effect, start on NEW FARMER mode.  The other 2 modes will make the map feel very empty.  However, if you want to design all the farmyards to your liking, you do you.   I hope you all enjoy this map; it is the first one I have ever created!

**Dry Corn & Anhydrous are already installed into the map. You will NOT need those addon Mods**

2 of the 3 sell points are along the railroad and you have the option to store your grain at either and then rent the train and sell your grain in Kansas City. You also have the ability to sell your grain, just dump into the corresponding pits, don't worry there is signs above the pits.  Up to you if you want to rent a train and get that extra money!

****I added the option to download the placeables needed from MediaFire or MEGA, because some people were experiencing problems with MEGA. Your choice. ******

Update 1.0.0.1 Released!

  • Added Alfalfa, reduced file size, fixed some minor issues and tweaked a couple things.

Alfalfa is coded as essentially another grass type, when mowed it turns into grass windrow. Just so there is no confusion, there is no alfalfa bales or windrow. So, you just mow it like a grass, and you can bale it into grass bales or tedder then bale into hay bales.

  • Added a sell point behind Casey's General Store for all animal products (eggs, milk etc).
  • Added more paintable ground types.

You do not need to download the placeables needed file if you are just updating.  The update is for the map file only.

**YOU WILL NEED A NEW SAVEGAME**

HOTFIX 1.0.0.2

I realized I had the alfalfa coded to where you couldn't plow it under. Fixed now, you do not need a new save for this update to take effect.

HOTFIX 1.0.0.3

Changed the capacity of the storage for both sellpoints up to 10 million. You can now load an entire train full.

Changed out the lime textures to more of a gypsum looking texture.

NO NEW SAVE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS UPDATE
